Job Description
Candidate should be Chartered Accountant with Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting and Auditing as one of the subjects
Hands on experience in Internal Audit for minimum 3 years in a professional accounting / audit firm or a listed company
Knowledge of local laws of UK such as Corporate tax, VAT etc.
Expert knowledge of accounting and auditing and working knowledge of UK Gaap and IFRS
Good communication skills in English, oral as well as written
Responsibility for the assessment of the internal control environment, performance management and operational procedures of the Company which involves determining weaknesses in procedures and making recommendations for improvements or implementation of best practice across the group
Working with management to determine current business processes
Determining weaknesses in current business practice
Reporting in detail to local management and recommending and effecting improvements to business processes
Reporting key business issues to senior management
Ensuring compliance with compliance with legal and statutory requirements
Audit of Supply chain management:-
Local purchase and Delivery
Capital Work in progress
Inventory
Warehouse operations
Cost of goods sold/delivery/services
Audit of Accounts and Commercial:-
Cash and advances
Bank reconciliation
Accounts receivable and payable
Statutory payments such as corporate tax, withholding tax, VAT
Vouchers e.g. Cash, Bank, Journal vouchers, purchase vouchers
Verification of payments to vendors
Follow up of Revenue recognition and Accounts receivable
Scrutiny of: a) General Ledgers incl Receivable and Payable ledgers and b) Trial Balance
Audit Review of: -
Budgets
Sales and Collections
Audit of Human Resources:-
Employee attendance
Leave records
Audit of Infra/Administration/PRD Audit of :-
Work/maintenance contracts
